Reflectivity

It's been a while since I added an entry, but I haven't had the urge to write or really known what to write.

We found out in May that my sister's husband out in Colorado was diagnosed with pancreatic and other cancers, and he passed away incredibly quickly. We were out in Colorado in early June for the funeral and to help out in whatever way we could, and then had a memorial service back east here for the family and friends that knew him back her where he grew up.

It was tough on a number of fronts; to see my sister hurting so and not be able to do anything about it, to have a member of *my* generation die (he was older than me, but not that much older), to lose such a great, smart, caring guy who was a good friend as well as a member of the family.
