We had our “Inaugural Service” for 2010 yesterday (May 1st) and will continue when possible through until sometime in October. So what’s “The Church of Music in Nature” you ask? It’s actually something quite simple, almost trivial, but I find it immensely pleasant and occasionally quite moving. We have wired our deck for sound. We have mounted a pair of Bose® 151 SE environmental speakers on the tall corner posts (the posts hold a gazillion bird feeders during the winter months, and display ...
<dc:subject>Woburn</dc:subject><dc:subject>General</dc:subject>

A Different Kind of Weekend

Sunday, February 28, 2010 Well, THAT was a different weekend! I was checking the Ballot Box webcam regularly and the rain and wind was furious up there too. I checked the webcam a little after midnight on Thursday night (Friday ...
<dc:subject>Current Events</dc:subject><dc:subject>General</dc:subject>

A New Kind of New Year's Eve

It was a pleasant New Year’s eve up in Maine at the Ballot Box, but the threat of snow kyboshed our New Year’s Eve celebration AND the planned New Year’s Day house-warming party. Audrey drove up on Thursday in the snow, so she was our only guest. She left the southern house around noon, didn’t get up here in Newcastle ME until 6:30pm – she got stuck on Rte 295 north of Portland because of a vehicular flambé at the height of the storm, so the plows and sanders were caught in traffic too, and sat for about ...
<dc:subject>Current Events</dc:subject><dc:subject>General</dc:subject>

Something is Amiss in the FamilyTreeHouse IT Department

Even geeks have computer problems sometimes...
<dc:subject>Technology</dc:subject><dc:subject>General</dc:subject>

Its Been a Busy Fall

Weddings and Houses, Expensive Undertakings!
<dc:subject>Current Events</dc:subject><dc:subject>General</dc:subject>

Car Troubles

Car troubles can ruin your whole day!
<dc:subject>General</dc:subject>

Seems Like a Lifetime Has Passed

Sad times at the Family TreeHouse...
<dc:subject>General</dc:subject>

A New Year Has Arrived

Progress on the genealogical front
<dc:subject>Web site</dc:subject><dc:subject>General</dc:subject>

Far Too Long!

Good grief!
